The invention relates to a device for limiting the tilting moment for a hydraulic crane of the type with an articulated and telescopic arm 11 consisting of at least one articulated element controlled by a raising cylinder 17 and of at least one end element with telescopic movement 14 controlled by another cylinder 19. The device comprises means for controlling the hydraulic and/or electric circuit which, when the thrust on the raising cylinder 13 reaches the maximum permissible value, prevents certain displacements of the elements 12, 14, 16 of the arm whilst allowing others, with respect to the spatial position of the arm, which tend to reduce the distance between the load and the articulation of the first element 12. <IMAGE>
