CONSTITUTION:A magnetic head 2 facing a magnetic disk 1 is held in an actuator 3. Current is applied to a voice coil motor consisting of a magnetic circuit 5 and a driving coil 4, and Lorentz's force is generated by a space 6 and a magnetic field 12, and the actuator is driven by it. A driving circuit 18 is energized when the disk 1 is working, and the head 2 is positioned in a specified data track in the data area 8 by a controlling circuit 14. When a power source is cut off, this is detected by a switching circuit 17, and a power source break signal is applied to the circuit 14, and the direction of applying current of the coil 4 is positioned to make the head 2 shunt to a shunting area 7. At the same time, a restoring circuit 20 discharges and applies current to the coil 4, and shifts and locks the actuator 3. |
