<p>PURPOSE:To enable normal writing, printing and recording to be conducted, without causing clogging even after suspending its use over a long period of time, by blending a specified dye with a quaternary ammonium as a counter ion. CONSTITUTION:A water based ink compsn. is obtd. by blending a dye having a sulfo, carboxyl or phenol group as its molecular structure with an ammonium ion of formula I as a counter ion against the dye. In the formula I, R1, R1, R3 and R4 are each an unsubstituted or substd. alkyl group. Said alkyl group varies depending on the type and quantity of an org. solvent used in ink and dye species, but has pref. 1 to 4 carbon atoms. When the alkyl group is substituted, an alkyl group partially substituted by a hydroxyl group or halogen is preferably used. Even when the alkyl group does not have one substituent, but more substituents, the effect is not influenced by the number of the substituents. Examples of the ammonium ion of formula I are compds. of formulas II, III,IV, etc.</p> |
