PURPOSE:To enable the tip of a recording electrode to be positioned accurately with steady ink supply to the tip of a recording electrode by providing a retaining plate with an electrode aperture into which the tip of the recording electrode is inserted and forming plural ink guide grooves along the axial direction of the recording electrode in the whole electrode aperture. CONSTITUTION:Ink 30 of an ink case 28 is supplied to a recording electrode 33 through an ink guide groove 34. A voltage is selectively applied into a space between the recording electrode 33 and an opposed electrode 24 according to a signal from a printing control circuit 35, resulting in a potential difference and a flight of the ink 30 from the tip of the recording electrode 33. This allows dots to be formed on recording paper 25 and thus allowing printing to be performed. The ink 30 is consumed at the tip of the recording electrode 33 and supplied after passing through the ink guide groove 34 sequentially in accordance with ink consumption. Since a plural number of ink guide grooves 34 are available, the ink 30 runs smoothly but no ink waste will accumulate in the ink guide groove 34. The tip of the recording electrode 33 is securely positioned in an electrode aperture 32, and an ink 30 flight direction is correctly adjusted with the improvement of printing accuracy. |
