PRODUCTION OF BEARING MATERIAL

PURPOSE:To easily produce a bearing material at a low cost by forming a spacing between an upper die and lower die and bulging the intermediate part of a sintered cylindrical body in the stage of compressing and correcting said body. CONSTITUTION:The sintered cylindrical body 4 is set on the lower punch 2 provided to the lower die 1 of a sizing installation. The cylindrical body 4 is pressed down by an upper punch 2a provided to the upper die 1a by which the cylindrical body is subjected to a compression molding treatment. The spacing 6 is made to exist between the upper die 1a and the lower die 1 at the bottom dead point of the punch 2a and the bulging part 4a is formed by bulging and recessing the intermediate part on the inside surface of the body 4 toward the outside. The bearing material produced in such a manner is usable in place of a roller bearing of an axial flow fan for cooling associated to computers.
