The invention relates to a foundation device making it possible to stabilise an offshore structure resting on soft ground only, as soon as the structure comes into contact with the sea bed, without any risk of subsequent settlement affecting the level of the bridge. The device consists of a weight-base 1 and of a ring of piles 5 passing through it in bores 2 provided at at least two different levels with sliding rings 9. The bridge 3, or its support tower, is provided with guide-tubes 6, enabling the piles to be guided when they are being installed. For transporting into position, the bridge, or its support tower, rests on the base via blocks 4 possibly complemented by a temporary locking device 10. Once the base is installed on the sea bed and the piles are anchored down to a level of greater strength 7, the guide-tubes are rigidly connected to the piles by a device 8 in such a way that the weight of the bridge is taken up directly by the piles, while the base slides along the piles, compressing the ground freely. The device according to the invention is particularly intended for the foundations of platforms, reservoirs or structures used for supporting and marking systems at sea. <IMAGE>
