PURPOSE:To provide wear resistance, heat resistance and moisture resistance to the surface of a disk and to provide the disk having excellent long-period reliability by providing recording layers on the inside of a pair of transparent substrates and providing barrier layers consisting of Ta2O5 on the outside. CONSTITUTION:Two sheets of the transparent plastic substrates 1 are adhered via a spacer 6 by positioning the recording layers 6 formed thereon to the inner side. The barrier layers 5 consisting of Ta2O5 are coated on the outside surfaces of the substrates to 500-1,000Angstrom thickness. The barrier layers 5 are resistant to wear and heat and prevent particularly the moisture adsorption to prevent the deterioration of the recording layers 6. The disk having the simple structure and the excellent long-period reliability is thus obtd. |
