PURPOSE:To provide a thermal recording material having an excellent color forming sensitivity, less susceptible to ground fogging and high in reliability of image parts, by using 3-(N-ethyl-N-n-amyl)amino-6-methyl-7-anilinofluoran as a leuco dye and incorporating benzyl 3-chloro-4-hydroxybenzoate and a diphenylthiourea compound as a color developer. CONSTITUTION:3-(N-ethyl-N-n-amyl)amino-6-methyl-7-anilinofluoran is used as a leuco dye and benzyl 3-chloro-4-hydroxybenzoate and a diphenylthiourea compound are incorporated as a color developer, in a thermal recording material comprising a thermal color forming layer comprising the leudco dye and the color developer as main constituents on a base. The benzyl ester is used and the color developer to thereby enhance sensitivity, and the diphenylthiourea compound is used as an auxiliary component therefor. With the auxiliary component used, decoloration of image parts due to fingerprints or when being left to stand which would occur when the benzyl ester is solely used as the color developer can be improved. |
