NEW MATERIAL:A compound of formula I [R' is lower alkyl substituted with COOH, cyano, halogen, hydroxyl, protected COOH; A is phenyl, mono- or di- substituted phenyl, thienyl, mono- or di-substituted thienyl (with lower alkyl, lower alkanoyl, hydroxyl or halogen)], its salt or ester hydrolyzable in living bodies. EXAMPLE:7-[2-(2-Aminothiazol-4-yl)-2-(syn)-carboxymethoxyiminoacetamid e]-3-(3- fluoro-4-hydroxyphenyl)methyl-DELTA<3>-cephem-4-carboxylic acid. USE:Antibacterial against gram-positive and -negative bacteria, especially against Pseudomonas areuginosa. PREPARATION:The reaction of 7-amino-3-substituted-cephalosporanic acid of formula II with a compound of formula III (Q is amino, protected amino) gives the compound of formula I.
