PURPOSE:To highly purify the titled crystal by using the powder of the material of a crystal to be produced to form a block, using the molten part formed by partially heating the central part of the upper surface of the block to pull the crystal, and using the unmelted part as the vessel of the molten part. CONSTITUTION:The high-m.p. substance crystal, is produced by the following three stages. Namely, the powder of the crystal to be produced is densely compressed to prepare the block 1 in the first stage, the central part of the upper surface of the block 1 is heated by a heating means to form the molten part 2 in the second stage, and the crystal 3 is pulled by using a seed crystal while keeping the molten state by the heating means in the third stage. The central part of the upper surface of the block 1 of powder is concentratedly heated to melt only the heated part, and a laser device is preferentially used as the means for maintaining the molten state.
