The invention is aimed at creating a uniformly manipulable but multi-part article whose individual components are suitable for producing an emergency tourniquet. This is achieved by a hollow rod, two rolled-up flexible strips accommodated therein - expediently strips of cloth - and at least two bandaging packs accommodated therein, so that after emptying the hollow rod it serves as a lever by which the cloth tied up in the form of a ring can be twisted.
