An apparatus for the application of a liquor to a textile web delivered dry has a conditioning device (6) preceding the application apparatus (7). The textile web (5) runs continuously through this conditioning device (6). It keeps the moisture of the textile web approximately constant at the exit of the conditioning device. The conditioning device (6) can also ensure that the temperature of the textile web (5) is kept approximately constant in the longitudinal and transverse directions.
