An air washer or similar device with a washer chamber, which can be passed through by an air flow and is provided on the drawing-in side with a rectifier zone having flowthrough gaps, is to be improved in such a manner that it can be made more simply and in particular helps to simplify the exchange or the cleaning of rectifier profiles. To this end, there are arranged in the rectifier zone round profiles or pipes (30) which delimit the flowthrough gaps (31, 32). These pipes (30a, 30b) are mounted in at least two rows (A, B), the pipes which are downstream in the flow direction (x) being arranged in front of the flowthrough gaps of the front pipe row (A). <IMAGE>
