In a hydraulic control device for a treatment chair having a plurality of chair parts adjustable relative to one another, having cylinder/piston units (9, 17, 21, 25, 28) inserted between the chair parts, having control valves (44, 47; 81 to 88) in line connections, the cylinder/piston units (9, 17, 21, 25, 28) receiving a flow constricted feed in order to avoid jerky movements of the cylinder/piston units (9, 17, 21, 25, 28), a design is to be found which is not very elaborate, so that it can be produced in a more cost-efficient way, and for this reason at least some of the cylinder/piston units (9, 17, 21, 25, 28) are double-acting cylinder/piston units (17, 21, 25, 28), the two pressure chambers (48, 49) of the double-acting cylinder/piston units (17, 21, 25, 28) being connected via feed-line sections (51 to 58) and return-line sections (59 to 66) to the feed line (31) and the return line (32), and a control valve (81 to 88) being arranged in each return-line section (59 to 66) for the double-acting cylinder/piston units (17, 21, 25, 28), and furthermore a non-return valve (91) which opens in the flow direction being arranged in each of the feed-line sections (51 to 58). <IMAGE>
