PURPOSE:The titled composition of oxidation, crosslinking, curing type having improved shelf stability, etc., comprising an aqueous dispersion obtained by reacting an epoxy resin with a (semi-)drying oil fatty acid modified vinyl copolymer to give a resin, neutralizing the resin and dissolving it in an aqueous medium, as a main component. CONSTITUTION:The aimed composition comprising an aqueous resin dispersion as a main component, which is obtained by reacting (A) an epoxy resin (preferably bisphenol A-epichlorohydrin type having 350-10,000 average molecular weight and 180-8,000 epoxy equivalent) with (B) A (semi-)drying oil fatty acid modified vinyl copolymer having 10-200 acid value in a weight ratio of solid content of 90/10-5/95, preferably 80/20-7/93 to give a resin (preferably having 15-100 acid value and 1,000-200,000 number-average molecular weight), neutralizing the resin and dissolving or suspending the resin in an aqueous medium.
