<p>The device forms a complement to the setting means (keyboard (11), storage and indicator unit (12), sliding clutch (14), gear unit (17), toothed racks (23, 24)) for the value stamp (28) in the printing cylinder of the franking machine. This complement consists above all of a tripping device (31) (e.g. a cam) and an extension on one of the toothed racks (24) in the axis of the printing cylinder and of co-operating means (33), e.g. spring-loaded levers which are actuated by the tripping device (31). During the co-operating action the type rollers (36) of the date stamp (37) engage with the other toothed racks (23) which change their setting.</p> |
