A bobbin receiver for the transport of a thread bobbin, with an essentially cylindrical insertion body which is fastened to a mounting and can be pushed axially into the bobbin tube and out of the outer surface of which a spreading yoke can be pivoted, is characterised in that a first lever is articulated on the spreading yoke by means of a first pivot axis, in that a second lever is articulated on the mounting by means of a second pivot axis, and in that the two levers are connected to one another in an articulated manner by means of a third pivot axis (poggle joint) which, by exceeding the connecting line determining a dead-centre position between the two first pivot axes, can be moved to and fro between two positions located outside this connecting line.
