The invention relates to a corner connection of mitred wooden window members for producing window frames, in particular sashes, in which the wooden window members are connected to one another by at least one connecting platelet which engages into slots of the two mitre surfaces, and by at least one right-angled connecting angle and by gluing, said connecting angle, by means of its legs, engaging from the mitre surfaces, in each case into an axial bore of the wooden window members. Said corner connection is to be configured such that, despite the production of a satisfactory connection, the use of machines or tools which are high in outlay, for example frame presses, can be dispensed with. For this purpose, the invention provides that the ends of the legs of the connecting angle engage in outwardly open blind holes which extend transversely to the respective axis of the wooden window members, and that they can be subjected to tensile stress acting in the axial direction.
