<p>PURPOSE:To obtain an inexpensive analyzer with high detection accuracy by forming a curved surface body which have its focuses on one-terminal sides of a light source and a cell and putting the one-terminal sides in the curved surface body. CONSTITUTION:The light source 11 is positioned at one focus 15 of the curved surface body 14, so the divergent light 17 of light from the light source 11 is reflected by the inner peripheral surface of the curved surface body 14 and its reflected light 18 travels toward the other focus 16 of the curved surface body 14 to enter the cell 1. Consequently, not only light (direct light) 19 which is incident directly from the light source 11, but also the reflected light 18 enters the cell 1, so the quantity of light incident on the cell increases greatly and the detection sensitivity is improved accordingly. The curved surface body 14 is variable in shape; a curved surface body 14A may be sectioned by connecting open sides of two parabolas 20 and 21 together and a curved surface body 14B may be sectioned by connecting open sides of four parabolas 22-25 together.</p> |
