The invention relates to a tape-cassette loading apparatus which is intended to permit a gentle or unjerky unloading or ejecting of a cassette carrier. In this case, on the circumferential surface of an arm gear wheel (22) there is articulated a lever (42), which has an approximately perpendicular attachment as well as a forwardly inclined section and a rearwardly inclined section. From the underside of a worm wheel (28) there protrudes downwards a contacting element, and in a mount (10) there is formed an essentially arcuate slot. If in this case a guiding peg (20) of a cassette carrier (18) runs through the corner section of a guiding slot (12), the approximately perpendicular attachment of the lever (42) comes into contact with the contacting element, so that the driving force of the worm wheel (28) can be transferred directly to the arm gear wheel (22). <IMAGE>
