The invention relates to a sliding window assembled from plastic profiles which is provided preferably for installation in walls, formed from hard foam panels coated on both sides with aluminium, of mobile living or utility rooms. In order to produce a prefabricated window which satisfies all requirements and is adaptable to various wall thicknesses, the invention essentially envisages that the window consists of a profile frame which surrounds all parts of the window and is provided with elastic sealing profiles and in which the outer frame with one sliding and non-sliding window leaf is inserted and held removably by a clamping profile.
