The unloading and charging of reactor chambers (2) arranged one above the other in several planes with mobile modules (3), are served by a reactor loader (10) which can travel along the platform (5) in front of the chambers (2). The range of travel of the reactor loader (10) intersects in at least one position with the range of travel of a crane (7) which can travel on a crane track (6) above the reactor. On the reactor loader (10), transversely to its direction of travel, are arranged a platform (14) and, on this, a slide device (17) engaging the module (3), each of which can be slid via its own drive (15, 18). <IMAGE>
