A roller blind comprises a multiplicity of heat-insulating profile bars (27) which are in the form of a parallelogram in cross-section and are connected to one another on both sides by retaining cables (28). At least one actuating band (34) runs parallel to the retaining cables. By means of said actuating band, the profile bars of the roller blind can be pulled through carrying rails (52), arranged beneath a room ceiling (15), and can be stowed there in the pushed-together state. In order to improve the appearance, a suspended room ceiling (16) is arranged beneath the room ceiling. In order to provide heat insulation, the profile bars are configured in a hollow manner and filled with insulating elements. Provided above the window frame (11) is a roller-blind casing (17), the free space (24) of which is filled with insulating material (25). <IMAGE>
