PURPOSE:To permit the residual side of excavation to be excavated by the extension of an auger by a method in which an auger-drive motor is attached to a frame vertically movable along a leader in a rocking manner and the lower end of an auger is allowed to be moved sidewards by an oil-pressure cylinder. CONSTITUTION:Three auger-drive motors 10-12 are attached to a frame 4 vertically movable along the parallel guide bar 3 of a leader mast 1, and the motors 11 and 12 on the outside are allowed to move around pins 14 and 15 in a rocking manner. Cylinders 16-18 are fitted on the lower parts of augers 7-9, and oil-pressure cylinders 19 and 20 are attached between the cylinders 17-19. Continuous pits are excavated by the augers 7-9 in a parallelized state, and when the residual portion of excavation is left on the side, the cylinders 19 and 20 are extended to open the lower ends of the augers 7-9. The residual portion of the excavation can thus be excavated without the needs to move the leader must.
