PURPOSE:To obtain the titled composition of both higher green strength and green modulus in the uncured state, with suppressed heat generation and enhanced crack propagation resistance, by incorporating rubber with each specific isomaleimide compound and halogenated compound. CONSTITUTION:In the following components: (A) 100pts.wt. of at least one kind of rubber selected from natural rubber and diene synthetic rubbers, (B) 20-100pts.wt. of reinforcing filler comprising carbon black and/or silica, (C) 0.1-5pts.wt. of an N-(4-dimethylaminophenyl)-isomaleimide of formula I and (D) 0.1-3pts.wt. of a halogenated compound of formula II (R<3> is H, methyl, Cl or Br; X is Cl or Br; the sites of the substituents being ortho, meta or para) (e.g. alpha,alpha'-dibromo-p-xylene), preferably, the component A is incorporated with the component C and a radical initiator (e.g. dibenzothiazyl disulfide) to perform a kneading followed by incorporation of the component B to carry out a further kneading and then blending the component D, thus obtaining the objective composition.
