Decoupled heat insulation for containers, pipelines, fittings and similar objects is described, in the case of which a diffusion block, consisting of a film material on a supporting structure, is arranged between an outer protective jacket (consisting of solid material) and an insulating material which can foam up. This diffusion block is composed of webs of a film material, the webs being placed over the supporting structure such that they are oversize with respect to the internal dimension of the outer protective jacket, and being connected to one another on the mutually touching edges in a standing seam.
