The invention relates to a bidet which, unlike those of the prior art, is not designed to be stationary; rather, it is designed as a washing stool 1 and can therefore also be used as such. Since no installed lines for water supply and discharge are required, the bidet is not fixed to a specific location and can therefore be set up anywhere (hospitals, medical practices). The bidet has a removable seat cover 2. The flushing bowl 3 with spray head 5 and closable discharge 6 is located beneath said seat cover. For reasons of hygiene there are provided removable annular seats 4 which are coloured and may bear inscriptions. To the side of the unit there is located a removable liquid tank 8 which may be filled with cold or hot water 9 as required. In the liquid tank 8 there is located a battery-driven 12-V submerged pump 10 which, by means of a flexible tube, is connected to the spray head 5 in the flushing bowl 3 for the purpose of flushing. On the closable discharge 6 of the flushing bowl 3 there is located a suction pump 12 which channels away the used flushing water 9 through a flexible tube 14 into a tank, toilet bowl or the like provided for this purpose. Both pumps 10 and 12 are actuated by rocker switches 7 provided on the right and left of the bidet (right-handed and left-handed). Switching the rocker switches 7 upwards results in flushing, while switching them DOWNWARDS results in the discharge of the used water. <IMAGE>
