X = H or halogen, R = H or 1-4C alkyl, A = 1-4C alkyl, phenyl, benzyl or -(CH2)3- or -O(CH2)2- bound to posn. 3 or 5 of the benzene ring to form a bicyclic system. - Pref. cpds. include 3' - aminomethyl 5'-bromo 4'-hydroxy propiophenone oxime and 3'- aminomethyl 5'-bromo 4'-hydroxy propiophenone methyloxime.
