A valve, for discharging either liquid or vapour from a pressurized container of liquefied gas, comprises a valve body 1 attachable to the container by screw threads 3 and having vapour and liquid inlet ducts 4, 5 respectively, the ducts being selectively connectible to a passage 8 by appropriate positioning of a hollow cock 23, which cock has two inlet apertures, of which only one, 27, is shown, and two outlet apertures 25, 26, and is rotatable by a handle 30 between two operative positions delimited by stops (31, 32, Fig. 2, not shown), the handle also serving as a position indicator. A further closure member 12, movable on to a valve seat 43 by means of a threaded spindle 17 acting on a metallic diaphragm 13 and biased away from the seat by a spring 20, controls the flow of fluid between the passage 8 and a chamber 9 which communicates with an outlet port (10, Fig. 2). A relief valve 34 prevents excessive build up of pressure within vapour duct 4.</p> |
