摘要

PURPOSE:To prevent object light supplied to an image pickup element from decreasing in quantity by providing a spectral diffracting means which splits the incident light from a lens to an image pickup system for obtaining the video signal of the object and a system including an automatic focusing system for obtaining focusing information from the object image. CONSTITUTION:Light in a wavelength range required to obtain a color video signal is guided to an image pickup element system by a half-mirror prism 3 and light having longer wavelength (infrared light in general) is guided to the automatic focusing system. Consequently, the light guided to the image pickup element does not decrease greatly in the quantity of light within the wavelength range required to obtain the color video signal and an automatic focus sensor senses sufficiently light with long wavelength guided to the automatic focus sensor.
