PURPOSE:To improve the working efficiency of a wound core winding apparatus by spring-energizing a first guide member to slidably contact a belt moving pulley, and coupling a second guide member with rotary driving means. CONSTITUTION:First and second guide members 97, 98 rotatble to slidably contact the outermost surface of a core until a winding from a position corresponding to an imaginary circle to one leg is finished are disposed by pivotally supporting the base end of one of legs 5, 6, 7 at both side fixing positions. Since the member 97 is spring-energized to slidably contact a belt moving pulley 25 and the member 98 is coupled with rotary driving means 101, a wound core 9 can be strongly pressed to be contracted by both the members. Accordingly, the core can be tightly wound on the leg of the coil 1 without necessity of tightening work by a worker's manual work. Thus, the winding work efficiency of the core on the coil is improved.
