PURPOSE:To prevent the clutch of a compressor in a cooler from being worn by providing both No.1 intercooler using engine cooling water and No.1 intercooler using a part of cabin cooling refrigerant whereby actuating the former at load higher than a specified value, and the latter at the rotary speed of an engine higher than a specified value. CONSTITUTION:Both No.1 intercooler 42 introducing engine cooling water, including a pump 50 and a radiator 52, and No.2 intercooler 44 introducing refrigerant branched from a cabin cooling circuit, including a compressor 58, condensor 60, an expansion valve 66 and a cabin cooling heat exchanger 68 are provided to the downstream of a supercharger 20. A control is exerted in such a way that No.2 intercooler will operate at the rotary speed of an engine higher than a specified value. As No.2 intercooler keeps operation at all times starting from the comparatively low rotary speed of the engine, the clutch 74 of the compressor will never be actuated at the high rotary speed of the engine caused by an abrupt increase in load for preventing the wear of the clutch.
