<p>The cubicle provides a simulation of the effects of the so-called 'Dead Sea' treatment. The cubicle (1) has a cylindrical outer wall (2), a ceiling (3) and a floor (4) which is jacked up above the floor of the treatment room. The patient gains access to the cubicle via a sliding door (10). Once inside the cubicle, the brine is sprayed over the patient by a shower (12) while fluorescent lamps simulate sunshine. The brine, which is automatically recirculated after filtering, drains through the cubicle floor. Cooling air can be pumped through the cubicle by fans.</p> |
