PURPOSE:To increase the speed of blow-off air under low noise and permit to elongate the arriving distance of the flow of air by a method wherein a plurality of cross-flow fans is provided coaxially in a ventilating air-flow path and at least one set of the cross-flow fan is constituted so that the operation thereof can be controlled independently from the other cross-flow fans. CONSTITUTION:An air-conditioning machine is provided with a ventilating airflow path 3, connecting a suction port 1 and a blow-off port 2, a heat exchanger, provided in said ventilating airflow path 3, a plurality of cross-flow fans 5, provided coaxially, motors 6, driving said cross-flow fans 5, and a control unit 9, controlling the operation of the motors 6. At least one set of the cross-flow fan is constituted so that the operation thereof can be controlled independently from the other cross-flow fans. Three sets of the cross-flow fans 5a, 5b, 5c are driven in the same manner usually. Upon the blow-off area control operation of the machine or the rise-up operation of the same upon room heating, for example, the amount on airflow of the fans is controlled so that the temperature of blow-off air becomes a comfortable temperature while the blow-off area of the machine is controlled to increase air speed so that warm-air arrives at a floor surface. In the case of such operation, the rotation of the fans 5a, 5c is stopped and only the fan 5b is rotated. |
