PURPOSE:To cramp a rope by slight force without damaging the rope by providing a means for fixing the rope to a structure such as a post and the like, a sheave for winding the rope guided at a necessary approach angle as many as required turns, and a retaining means for guiding and locking the rope after its winding. CONSTITUTION:A locking tool is fixed to a supporting structure such as a post and the like through a fixing means 3, and its one end guides a rope 1 fixed to the supporting structure on the opposite bank. The rope 1 is guided to a sheave 5 through a guide 4, and wound around its barrel as many as required turns, and then inserted through a retaining means 6 positioned in a phase deviated from the guide 4 to guide its surplus part 1' backward. In this state, required tension is given to the rope 1. Since the rope pat situated on the front side of the retaining means 6 has been wound around the sheave 5 at this time, frictional force caused by winding the rope 1 around the sheave 5 holds the rope 1 firmly. Thus locking force depending on the retaining means 6 may be satisfactorily very weak.
