发明名称 BYPASSING DEVICE FOR REDUCTION IN KNOCKING
摘要 PURPOSE:To secure output performance in the high rotary speed range of an engine and prevent the occurrence of knocking in the low rotary speed in an automobile engine by providing two bypass passages which communicate burning spaces of two cylinders with each other and by providing check valves to the bypass passages. CONSTITUTION:Bypass passages 2 and 3 are provided for communicating respective combustion chambers of two cylinders 1a and 1b with each other. Check valves 4 and 5 are provided to respective bypass passages 2 and 3 for allowing gas flow only to one direction, which is reverse to that of the other bypass passage, upon exceeding a predetermined pressure. When burned gas in an end gas zone 9a is increased in pressure, freeing to the combustion chamber 8b through the bypass passage 2 takes place for reducing pressure in the end gas zone so as to prevent the occurrence of knocking. The aforementioned constitution can improve operating performance.
