PURPOSE:To make it possible to improve the engine starting property, by detecting the increased load in the engine starting, and adding the load correcting fuel amount responding to the load correcting air amount. CONSTITUTION:At an engine starting, a control unit 13 detects an increase of the engine load owing to a power steering, an air conditioning compressor, and an electric load, depending on the output of an engine load detecting sensor 17, and controls an electromagnetic valve 12 to add the load correcting air amount to the air intake amount. Then, a load correcting injection pulse width including a pulse width preset responding to those load correcting air amount is computed. After that, by adding the load correcting injection pulse width to the basic injection pulse width and to the correcting pulse width in an ineffective injection time, an injection pulse width at the starting is determined, and the fuel is injected from the fuel injection valve 5 in this pulse width.
