PURPOSE:To prevent intrusion of dust even in the event of breakage of a dust cover by coating the inside of the dust cover with a film of foamed substance such as foamed urethane rubber in close contact and applying a small amount of viscous fluid to areas between the two members. CONSTITUTION:The body of a dust cover 18 is formed from an elastic material such as rubber, and its manor opening at the top 19 is fitted on a ball stud shank 15 while the major opening 21 is fitted in the outside groove 12 of a socket 11. In close contact, the inside of this dust cover 18 is coated with a film of foamed substance 8 such as foamed urethane rubber sponge, etc. A small amount of viscous fluid such as greese or adhesive is applied to those areas of said film of foamed substance 8 and the drum part 20 of dust cover which mate each other. Therefore, intrusion of dust into the dust cover 18 is prevented even in the event of breakage of the drum part 20 of the dust cover.
