A device (18) is described for reducing the polluting emissions of a heat engine (1) equipped with devices for controlling the operation of the engine actuated by the vacuum in the induction manifold (4); the device consists of a pneumatic circuit (21) connected to these devices, which can be selectively connected by a soleanoid valve (23) to the atmosphere or to a vacuum take-off (20) on the induction manifold (4); the soleanoid valve (23) is controlled by a sensor for detecting the temperature of the coolant liquid of the engine (22) in such a way as to exclude the said devices at coolant temperatures less than 35 DEG C or greater than 90 DEG C.
