<p>An electronic coin selector for vending machines, has a sensor (4a) placed in the path of the coins (3), so that as each coin passes in front of the sensor (4a), the latter measures the diameter or section of the coin. After this there is a hollow coil (5) which the coin passes through so that this coil checks the alloy and volume of the coin on the basis of the previously measured parameter. After the coil there may be another sensor (4b) to measure the diameter of the coin, when the first sensor (4a) measures the section thereof. Thus, a perfect verification of each coin inserted is attained, with the stored data and therefore, the acceptance of any coin which does not correspond to the coins machine is avoided. <IMAGE></p> |
