<p>The ammonium salt of cyclic 1-beta-D-ribofuranosyl 1,2,4-triazole 3- carboxamide 2'-3'-phosphate, with anti-viral applications, is made by (a) reacting 1-beta-ribofuranosyl 1,2,4-triazole 3-carboxamide, phosphoric acid and tri-n-butylamine in DMF; (b) removing excess solvent; (c) dissolving the residue in NH4OH; (d) collecting the aq. phase and concentrating it; (e) fractionating the resulting conc.; (f) collecting and drying the appropriate fractions to form a residue; (g) dissolving in a suitable solvent; (h) filtering and evaporating the filtrate to dryness; and (i) adding solvent and lyophilising the soln.</p> |
