Digital/analogue converter arrangement

In known speech synthesizers, an analogue filter is necessary at the output of the digital/analogue converter which is difficult to implement in integrated form. It is intended to carry out the task of this filter, attenuation of unwanted frequency components in the voice band, particularly around the sampling frequency, by easily integrable means by appropriately configuring the digital/analogue converter arrangement. For this purpose, the output of the digital signal source (DF) is connected via the cascade circuit of a code compression circuit (CC) and an interpolation circuit (INT) to the digital/analogue converter (DAC). A control circuit (CD) controls these circuits and supplies the required parameters.
