PURPOSE:To make it possible to enhance the manufacturing efficiency and quality of spinnerets, by carrying out an electric discharge machining process utilizing a discharge electrode in an equi-angular radiation cross-sectioned shape, having its included angle sections of each side formed, at the base end sections, with recess so that a polymer discharge hole having projections in the inner surfaces of the included angle sections of each side at the base end thereof, is formed in a spinneret. CONSTITUTION:After a polymer introducing hole 1 is formed in a spinneret plate 3a, electric discharge machining is carried out to the bottom of the polymer introducing hole 2 with the use of an electrode 4 having a Y-like cross-sectioned shape with recesses 7 being formed at the base end included angle sections 4b of each side 4a, so that a polymer discharge hole 2 is formed. Thereafter, projections 8 formed in the inner surfaces of the base end included angle sections 2b of each side 2a of the Y-like cross-sectioned shape of the polymer discharge hole 2, are subjected to a finish-shaping process to obtain a spinneret 3 having a peculiar shape 3, Therefore, no long time is required for finish-shaping so that the manufacturing efficiency of the nozzle may be enhanced. Further, no burrs come about on the inner surface of the base end included angle sections of each side of the discharge hole which is subjected to finish-shaping, so that a high quality spinneret having a peculiar shape, which gives no scratch to a yarn to be spun, may be obtained. |
