PURPOSE:To obtain a dental cast Co alloy having characteristics required by a dental member such as a dental plate or crown and remarkably superior castability by providing a composition consisting of prescribed amounts of C, Si, Mn, Cr, Mo, Hf and B and the balance Co with inevitable impurities. CONSTITUTION:This dental cast Co alloy consists of, by weight, 0.01-0.6% C, 0.1-5% Si, 0.1-3% Mn, 12-35% Cr, 1-20% Mo, 0.005-5% Hf, 0.0001-0.5% B and the balance Co with inevitable impurities. The cast Co alloy has high hardness, strength and toughness comparable to or higher than those of a conventional cast Co alloy and also has much superior castability as compared with the conventional cast Co alloy.
