PURPOSE:To well correct the positional deviation of a picture by obtaining the correlation between a reference picture and a picture to be corrected, also obtaining the positional deviation of the picture to be corrected against the reference picture based on the said correlation, and re-constituting the picture to be corrected. CONSTITUTION:An RGB filter 2 is switched in synchronization with the television scanning to project an object 4 with respective colors. Picture signals of R, G, and B in plane sequence are obtained by a black-and-white image pickup plate 6. These signals are transmitted to a plane sequential - standard television conversion processor 8, however, such pictures as positionally deviation are further transmitted to a device for positional deviation of picture 10. In the device 10, a correlation comparator circuit 11 obtains the correlation between the picture of a color that is made a reference and the one of the color to be deviation corrected among the above-said pictures transmitted. And thus the circuit 11 obtains the positional deviation of the picture to be corrected from the reference picture. Thereafter, a picture re-constituting circuit 12 re-constitutes the picture to be corrected based on the obtained positional shifting. The resulting pictures of the three colors are overlapped with each other and displayed on a monitor 13.
