PURPOSE:To provide a thermal recording material having excellent raw preservability, quick thermal response and high thermal color forming property and reduced in the lowering in the density of a recorded image due to long-term preservation after thermal recording, by containing at least one kind of aromatic ether or ester and at least one or more of alcohols, phenols, sulfonamides and acid amides in a recording layer. CONSTITUTION:As aromatic ether or ester, there is a compound represented by formula 1. Among heat-meltable substances represented by the formula 1, ones represented by formulae 1-a-1-c are pref. As alcohols, ones having an alkyl group or an aralkyl group are pref. and, for example, represented by formula 2. Phenols are represented by formula 3 and sulfonamides are represented by formula 4 and arylsulfonamide is especially pref. An acid amide compound pref. has at least one aromatic ring and represented by formula 5. |
