PURPOSE:To form a uniform passive film on a thin ferromagnetic metallic film layer and to remarkably improve corrosion resistance by forming the ferromagnetic layer on a substrate then bombarding oxidizing particles accelerated by about 30-100V voltage onto the surface of the ferromagnetic layer. CONSTITUTION:A Co-Ni alloy (80wt%-20wt%) from a vapor deposition source 4 is deposited by evaporation onto 0.15mum film thickness onto the high-polymer substrate 3 which is let-off from a let-off roll 2 in a vacuum vessel 1 and moves along a rotary drum 5. The oxygen ions accelerated by 30-100V voltage from an ion gun 8 are bombarded to the vapor deposition surface in succession thereof to form the uniform passive film 15 on the thin ferromagnetic metallic film 14.
