PURPOSE:To provide a thermal recording material imparting a thermally developed color image having good light fastness and good heat resistance after fixing, by incorporating at least one specific compound in a thermal layer. CONSTITUTION:In a thermal recording material wherein a thermal layer containing a diazonium salt and a coupler is provided on a support, said thermal layer contains at least one compound represented by formula [I]. The compound represented by the formula [I] can be contained in a microcapsule and added inside and outside said microcapsule when the diazonium salt or the coupler was microencapsulated. When said compound is added in a fine particulate state, it is used pref. in an amount of about 0.05-20pts.wt. of 1pt. of the diazonium salt and, when added to the microcapsule, used in a amount of about 0.01-5pts.wt. of 1pt. of the diazonium salt. |
