PURPOSE:To easily execute working and to reduce the production cost of a magnetic head by using cores laminated by a magnetic metallic sheet for recording and reproducing cores and cores obtained by bending a thin metal plate for erasing cores. CONSTITUTION:The U-shaped laminate cores 1a, 1b obtained by laminating a 'Permalloy(R)' thin plate A and an outside nonmagnetic metallic sheet B and a coil 1d is inserted into the cores 1a, 1b. The erasing cores 2a, 2b are formed by bending 'Permalloy(R)' thin plates and a coil 1e is inserted into the cores 2a, 2b. A pair of core holders are formed by titanium or titanium alloy. Since the cores 1a, 1b, 2a, 2b can be molded by press work or drawing, the working can be easily executed and the mold can be prevented from the generation of a crack or the like. Since the titanium material can be produced by injection, mass-production can be attained and the production cost can be reduced.
