PURPOSE:To make an accessory equipment independent and to provide an excellent key telephone system capable of simply setting the function from other terminal telephone set by using abbreviated dialling for respective terminal telephone sets of a main device, registering the compacted dial of the accessory equipments and reading this compacted dial by the accessory equipments to set the function. CONSTITUTION:The abbreviated dialling the main device 1 is used in the terminal telephone set 2 to set the function of the accessory equipments 3, and then, the accessory equipments 3 read the abbreviated dialling from the main device 1 in a certain timing to complete the function setting and can respond to the calling of other terminal telephone set 2 or the like by a sound generating part 5 and a control part 6 through a communication part 4 between the main devices.
